Support Meetings Update — Now two monthly Families of Trans Youth meetings
Starting March 4, the monthly Families of Trans Youth group that meets every first Saturday is changing its format and resuming in-person meetings at Redwood City Public Library. To accommodate those who still want to meet remotely we're adding another monthly Families of Trans Youth meeting which will be Zoom-only at 10:00 a.m. on the third Saturday every month, starting March 18.

New API Support Group
We are beginning a monthly peer support group for parents, family members, allies, and LGBTQ+ individuals with Asian, Pacific Islander, or South Asian heritage. Meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., starting December 21, 2021. We seek to form a loving community of compassionate and welcoming individuals, providing a safe space to converse, listen, or observe in a group of fellow Asian-Americans.
Like our other support meetings, this one will be remote for now. To join, request a Zoom link/invitation by sending a brief note to support@pflagsanjose.org, or by leaving a voice message (including your phone number or email address) at (408) 270-8182.
More Online Support for API Communities
Two other PFLAG chapters in California now host support groups specifically for members of the Asian or Pacific Islander communities who have LGBTQ+ loved ones. And, like most support groups, they've moved online since the epidemic started last year; that means anyone can participate, regardless of location!
